GOD'S INTERVENTION

Dear Mission Partners,

It’s been another wonderful week for the Gospel in Ethiopia! We’re doing NINE crusades there – six of which are now finished – and this past week it was God’s time for the people of Chuko and Yirgalem.  Bootcamp graduates David Rotärmel and Dario Guistino were stationed in Chuko. John Whitley and Zack Frapart (also Bootcamp grads) preached in Yirgalem, where they also held a Fire Conference for the local church leaders.

In both places, the teams endured wet conditions and all kinds of challenges (Africa is never easy!) but they pressed on undeterred.

As Evangelist David Rotärmel shared, “I preached a sermon titled “Everyone who calls upon the name of the Lord shall be saved” from Romans 10:13. As I preached, I sensed deeply that this crusade began with a true spiritual battle. There was a tangible need for God’s intervention and breakthrough that only the Gospel can bring. We are here not just to hold pleasant meetings, but to engage in real spiritual warfare, aiming to make a significant impact on the entire area through the power of the Gospel.”

That’s exactly it! We are not here to entertain – we are here to preach the saving power of Jesus Christ, whatever it takes. The reward for their faithfulness was an outpouring of salvations and miracles.

Ayelech had asthma for over 20 years. She went to hospital many times and had to take strong medicine to keep breathing. She could only walk short distances and not run or bend over. Ayelech had great Faith; she came to the Dilla crusade 35 minutes away from Chuko but did not receive her healing there. However, she declared that in the Chuko crusade, God would heal her, and He did! Fully healed, she could run, dance, and bend over again. The evangelist asked if he could take her medicine, and she gave it right away, saying: ‘I do not need this anymore!’”

Beture could not lift his left arm for over a year. He and his entire school attended the crusade. It was beautiful to see his classmates cheering him on, testifying to what Jesus had done for him. As we were testing his arm, he took a heavy bag full of technical gear and surprisingly threw it into the air, catching it again! Then he started to run circles on stage, lifting the backpack, which was about half his body size! The people were cheering and celebrating the Lord!

God’s not done with Ethiopia yet! We still have three more crusades to go there, so please keep praying. Pray for heavenly intervention to hold back the rain. Our equipment is taking a beating, and our technical team is being tested to the limit. Your prayers are effective – God says so! Thank you so much for your love and support. It means the world to us.

Yours in the Gospel,

Evangelist Daniel Kolenda
